Mobile Classroom for Tanzania School

Mobile Classroom for Tanzania School

One of the current needs at the Amani Primary School in Pande, Tanzania is updated and expanded computer technology for the students. Currently, just a few older computers are housed in a multipurpose room that serves as a library/office/computer-lab space. The senior students at London Christian High have offered a unique solution – a mobile computer classroom.

The “Mobile Classroom” will be constructed and designed by students onsite at LCH from a 40′ steel shipping container, retrofitted with windows, doors, built-in desks for 20 students, a projector, and air-conditioning given the temperatures and high humidity in the region. One of the benefits of the shipping container is the durability of the walls, and the security this structure provides for the classroom's contents.

We’re proud and inspired by the youth of LCH, who are taking action and getting innovative to give other kids unique opportunities! Stay tuned for a press release when the Mobile Classroom is headed to Tanzania!
