A Season Of Growth And Transformation in Colombia

A key area of impact for Tiempo de Paz remains nutrition. More than 24,000 meals were provided to 90 children, ensuring consistent daily nourishment. For children between the ages of 5 and 12, this support is essential—not only for physical health, but also for improving concentration in school and creating stability in environments where food insecurity is common.

At the same time, the program saw significant growth. With the transition to full-day services at the San Javier and Boston centres, the number of children served increased from 45 to 90, effectively doubling the Foundation’s impact. Within this expanded setting, lacrosse has become an important part of the program, providing structured time for children to develop discipline, teamwork, and respect, while offering a safe and meaningful way to engage after school hours.

During Women’s Month, 38 women gathered across two brunch events centred on the theme: “Woman: remember to see yourself through God’s eyes with love, dignity, and purpose.”  These gatherings created space for reflection, encouragement, and connection, strengthening both individual identity and the broader family environment.

TdP also increased its visibility this quarter through a news feature on the PASI program (Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Program). This opportunity allowed the team to raise awareness about child protection while highlighting the role of education and prevention in safeguarding vulnerable children.

Through a visit from Acts of Grace, progress began on key renovations at the San Javier Centre—including bathroom completion, roof upgrades with solar panels, a security lobby, and improvements to energy and sewage systems. These upgrades will significantly enhance the safety and quality of the environment for both children and families.

Finally, volunteers played an essential role in strengthening the program’s capacity. A volunteer gathering resulted in 16 new individuals joining the Foundation, now supporting areas such as the kitchen, clothing bank, and direct engagement with children, contributing both practical support and relational presence.

Prayer

•       Pray for continued provision to sustain nutrition programs, as thousands of meals are needed each quarter to support children’s health and development

•       Pray for the ongoing expansion of the Centres, especially the renovations at San Javier, that these improvements would create safe, stable environments for children and families

•       Pray for children facing complex health and family challenges, that they would continue to receive the care, encouragement, and spiritual support needed to grow in stability and hope
