Providing Christ-centred education, relief, and community support to Lebanese and Syrian refugee children and families in Zahlé.

True Vine Church (TVC) was founded in 2003 by Pastor Jihad Haddad as a small community sharing the gospel with friends and neighbours. Over time, it has grown into a hub for spiritual growth, education, and humanitarian aid. Following the outbreak of the Syrian civil war in 2012, TVC mobilized to care for the influx of Syrian refugees. Situated in Zahlé, one of Lebanon’s largest Christian cities, the church and its community have navigated decades of social and economic challenges, including political instability, refugee crises, and youth unemployment. Despite these pressures, TVC has established schools, food programs, and community initiatives, providing stability, care, and hope to vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian children and families.
Across two elementary schools, students at TVC receive academic instruction, psychosocial support, and daily prayer, nurturing both learning and spiritual growth. Teachers and staff also provide individual and small-group support for children facing trauma, displacement, or social marginalization.
Hope Story comes alongside TVC by supporting food boxes for families and monthly food relief for Syrian refugees and struggling Lebanese households. Outreach is unconditional, meeting practical needs while offering opportunities for spiritual engagement through home visits and worship cell groups.
The church also cultivates strong community through its multipurpose centres, Railway Gym, and youth programs. Future initiatives, such as the Ninja Gymnastics Program, in partnership with Hope Story, will continue to provide safe recreational spaces that encourage physical health, mentorship, and relational development for children.
